Dr. Heather Johnston
Dr. Johnston graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2006 and has been living and working in Collingwood, Ontario, for the past 3 years. She is excited about relocating to Whistler, British Columbia, and the opportunity to continue helping families in this new community.
Prior to CMCC, she completed an honor’s degree from Queen’s University in Neuropsychology. Throughout her 4 years at Queen’s, she was on the Varsity Cross Country team and Rowing team.
During the summers she worked for the Toronto Police Department, Marine Unit, as a beach Lifeguard and competed regularly in Provincial Lifeguard Competitions.
Before dedicating herself to 8 years of post secondary training, she backpacked Hawaii and Australia, and was a Snowboard Instructor for Intrawest in Whistler British Columbia for 3 seasons. During her 3 years in Whistler, she also taught swimming to local families, as well as children from the nearby Reservations.
She is a current member of the Canadian Ski Patrol and volunteered at Osler Ski Club In the town of the Blue Mountains in Ontario.
She enjoys being active in such sports as cycling, swimming, wakeboarding, waterskiing, hiking, jogging, cross-country skiing and snowboarding.
She enjoys the arts and entertainment within the local community and in her past time enjoys drawing and photography.
She enjoys doing local out-reaches at sporting and charity events.
She is an Independent Medical Evaluator for IRSI.
She is also a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). |
