What can I expect on my first visit?

The first thing a chiropractor will do is ask you about any health complaints about which you are chiefly concerned. You will also be asked about any previous conditions, past treatments, family health history and lifestyle factors including dietary habits, exercise etc.

A physical examination will be performed including postural assessment, nerve function studies, range of motion testing and palpation to determine any structural abnormalities which may be affecting or causing your condition.

The chiropractor will reach a diagnosis and determine if chiropractic is appropriate for your case, if a referral to another practitioner is necessary or if other diagnostic tests are necessary such as x-ray.
